Visitors from Sweden

Today we welcomed four teacher trainees from Sweden into school. This is something we have been doing  for many years at Cookridge and supports our ethos of bringing the world into Cookridge.
The purpose of this visit was to experience a UK school and collect information for studies. They began their visit with the Red Nose Day assembly- Mr Green shaving his beard off, Miss Glendinning standing in jelly and Mrs Bailey filling her mouth with marshmallows! We did tell them that this was not a typical assembly! Our visitors clearly enjoyed it and joined in.
Things became calmer(slightly) after that with our visitors joining classes. Then at playtime, Red Nose Day buns in hand, the trainees were interviewed by a few members of our brilliant International School Council. The children asked some great questions about schools in Sweden and Swedish culture. What  better a way to find out about a country than to ask the people themselves! We would like to thank our visitors for coming into school and wish  them all the very best in their studies and teaching careers.
